Intellectual Property (IP) is an all-embracing term for different types of legal entitlement. There are six main types of IP; trade marks, designs, copyright, patents, geographical indication and trade secrets. The holders of these rights are generally entitled to exclusive rights to that item of IP. The level of protection and laws enforcing IP rights vary from country to country.
